Breaking News! DMW Boss, Davido, Accused Of Fraud (Read Statement)

DMW boss, Davido, has been accused of fraud by a U.S based Nigerian record label ‘Always On Cash (A.O.C)’

The label who made a statement on their Instagram page accused the DMW boss of failing to keep his end of the bargain after being paid N4 million in full.

They further explained that Davido was paid since January, 2019, to feature on a song with their artiste Tejiri Ochuko Ibhihwiori also known as TJay but Davido has neither featured on the song nor refunded the record label.

Their statement reads:-

“This is to officially notify the public that we the management of A.O.C (Always on Cash) Record Label are totally displeased with the dubious acts of David Adedeji Adeleke popularly known as DAVIDO (@davidoofficial) over unfulfilled 4million Naira song featuring contract with our artist Tejiri Ochuko Ibhihwiori ‘’TJay’’.

“Four Million Naira payment made in FULL and DAVIDO did not fulfill the contract since January 2019, neither was any attempt for refund made.

“The matter was reported to the police when several attempts to reach his management failed. It was presented for hearing in court for 3 consecutive times and neither he or any representative from his management appeared before the court to state their claims.

“We are hereby pleading that he or his management appears before the court on the next hearing set for 23rd August 2019 so that the matter can be settled amicably by law as all we want is the refund of the 4 million naira paid for the unfulfilled contract.”

Davido is yet to respond to the fraud allegations as at the time of this report.

Daddy Freeze shades Desmond Elliot Over Call For Ban On Foreign Movies In Nigeria

Nollywood actor and politician, Desmond Elliot in a recent interview with HIPTV, called for the ban of foreign movies in Nigeria to enable the growth of the Nigerian Movie Industry.

But controversial OAP, Daddy Freeze has aired his disagreements with Desmond Elliot’s statement about calling for the ban of foreign movies in Nigeria. He rather advised the actor, to strive to raise Nollywood to Hollywood standards and then people will gravitate towards Nollywood naturally…

He wrote;

"Dear Brother Desmond, I love you, but I’m not with you on this. I should be able to choose what I want to watch if I’m paying for it, shouldn’t I? Why don’t you strive to raise Nollywood to Hollywood standards and then people will gravitate towards Nollywood naturally?"

Nigerian Lady Mocks Davido for Not Being Featured On Beyonce’s Album (video)

Award winning singer, Beyonce, on Tuesday last week unveiled the tracklist of her new album, ‘The Lion King: The Gift.’

Surprisingly, the album features six Nigerian popstars, which includes Yemi Alade, Burna Boy, Mr. Eazi, Tekno, Wizkid, and Tiwa Savage.

Ghana’s Shatta Wale was also included in the album.

However, Nigeria Superstar, Davido was not featured, which has raised questions from Nigerians on social media

While some hailed the listed artistes, others called out Davido wondering why he was omitted from the list.

One of the people who called out Davido, said that the album could have been his biggest achievement if Beyonce featured him but he lost it because of his frog voice.

Femi Falana Becomes Busola Dakolo’s Lawyer

The Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, has ordered that petitions from the Senior Pastor of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly, Abuja, Biodun Fatoyinbo, and the Dakolos, be merged and investigated at the Force Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Alagbon, Ikoyi, Lagos.

Mr Femi Falana, made the revelation during a telephone conversation on Monday.


Falana, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, disclosed that the IG had assured that justice would be done in the matter.
